But next week, MAS will itself receive some much-deserved recognition when three separate cultural groups in the city honor MAS leaders for their philanthropic and visionary work. In an extraordinary coincidence, all three will be feted at separate charitable events on the evening of Monday, April 19. – MAS President Vin Cipolla will receive the 2010 Civic Inspiration Award from Ballet Hispanico at its 40th Anniversary Spring Gala at the Plaza, – MAS Trustee Tony Kiser will be honored by Second Stage Theatre for his longtime leadership and support at its Annual Gala at the Hammerstein Ballroom, – And, MAS Trustee Hugh Hardy will receive the prestigious President’s Medal from The Architectural League at its Beaux Arts Ball held at Brooklyn Academy of Music. “I am delighted to receive this honor from Ballet Hispanico, and I am equally delighted to have the privilege of working with such esteemed leaders as Tony and Hugh on the MAS board of directors. I congratulate them on their accolades, and am so proud of the MAS Board, which is involved across the city providing leadership to so many organizations and contributing so greatly to the quality of life here in New York,” said MAS President Vin Cipolla.
