NYC’s Chief Digital Officer, Rachel Sterne, Talks Democracy, Planning & WiFi Access on March 8

Social media guru Rachel Sterne, in her new post as the City’s first Chief Digital Officer, will deliver a keynote at our March 8th program, “Wireless City: Can All New Yorkers Get Connected?“. In 2009, Rachel was recognized as one of “America’s Most Promising Social Entrepreneurs” by Businessweek and is a noted speaker on social media and technology. As chief digital officer, Rachel is responsible for improving the efficiency of government services and finding ways of making the New York businesses climate more hospitable to emerging technology entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. She is tasked with finding ways for the City to use technology to better serve citizens and to save taxpayers money through improved efficiency.
