Special Members-Only Events with Francis Morrone
June 25th, 2013, 5:47 pm
As MAS reflects on the legacy of architecture critic and the Municipal Art Society’s very first tour guide Henry Hope Reed, we are proud to announce two summer events honoring his legacy. On Wednesday, July 10, Urbanist members (early and mid-career New Yorkers) can join architectural historian and MAS guide Francis Morrone on an after-work walking tour of the Brooklyn Waterfront.
The tour will wend its way through Willamsburg and Greenpoint to cover the rich history of the area and the significant new developments that have dramatically changed these neighborhoods.
The second event is a two-day MASter Class: Central Park Lecture and Tour with Francis Morrone on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25. All members can register now for the lecture and tour about the park, from Grand Army Plaza to the Obelisk, including the Mall, Bethesda Terrace, some of the world’s greatest collection of bridges, and even some mistakes!
Member tickets are on-sale now for these exciting events. If you are not a member and would like to join MAS, please click here to sign-up today! Tickets are limited and will sell-out quickly.
