2016 Brendan Gill Prize: Call for Nominations

Brendan Gill PrizeNominations are now open for the 28th Annual Brendan Gill Prize, MAS’s signature award honoring art and culture in our city! The 2016 Gill Prize, endowed to permit a cash award, is given each year to the creator of a specific work, a book, essay, musical composition, play, painting, sculpture, architectural design, film or choreographic piece that best captures the spirit and energy of New York City. Whether the nominated individual or group is well known or just emerging, the goal of the Gill Prize is to draw attention to the varieties of artistic experience that enrich our contemporary life. The selection of the winner is made by the Brendan Gill jury, an esteemed group of nine people all intimately involved in the arts and literature of the city. The winner of the Gill Prize will be honored at a ceremony and reception at the MAS Annual Meeting in February 2016. Please submit your nomination form via email to pcohen [at] mas.org before January 6, 2016.
