[Virtual tour] New York’s waterfront has changed drastically and now offers many fantastic parks for us to enjoy the outdoors as well as amazing views of the city. The disappearing industries which had claimed these prime territories are part of our history and thankfully many of the old buildings remain: the Domino Sugar Factory, the Cotton warehouses in Red Hook, Dumbo’s coffee houses, even the military buildings on Governor’s Island…but they are integrated into newly designed developments, where you can find great food, arts, sports facilities and more.
