[In-person] Once a busy turn-of-the-20th-century port, the Hudson waterfront fell into disrepair by the 1970s before being reimagined in the 1990s as a destination for New Yorkers and visitors. This tour with Ginny Poleman explores the 1910 Chelsea Piers—once the Titanic’s planned arrival point, and now a sports and media complex —then follows Hudson River Park stopping at the revitalized Pier 57, Little Island (2021), Gansevoort Peninsula, and a look at an 1970s example of adaptive reuse, the 1898 Bell Laboratories to the Westbeth Artists Housing.
