Announcing the new MAS Podcast!
November 12th, 2015, 5:45 pm
MAS is delighted to announce the launch of our new monthly podcast, available right now to stream on mas.org, on SoundCloud, and on iTunes! As many long-time MASers will remember, the Municipal Art Society hosted a weekly radio program on WNYC for several years beginning in the 1970s. This new podcast takes our history of broadcast and lively discussion into the 21st century, and welcomes a new listening audience to join the conversation. Our first two episodes, available now, feature interviews with the creators of two remarkable new works of literature and commentary about life in New York today—Ada Calhoun, author of St. Marks is Dead: The Many Lives of America’s Hippest Street, and authors and photographers James and Karla Murray, behind the new book, Store Front II : A History Preserved. The MAS podcast is produced by Alana Farkas, MAS Director of Tours, and Audrey Gray, an architecture and design writer based in Brooklyn. Our sound editor is Andre “Chip” Bruchez. Our theme track, Jazz Party, is graciously provided by Steve Green and the Elevators. Enjoy the new soundtrack to your commute! Listen to the MAS Podcast: Free with no ads »»
