The Public Assets online tool provides information on population and income for New York City, census tract information for total population, and median household income from the U.S. Census Bureau.
City-owned and leased properties are located in low-density and low-income areas. Seventy one percent are located in census tracts less dense than the citywide average. Six thousand nine hundred and sixty-nine (totaling 15,511 acres) are located within census tracts with low median household incomes.
