Join Gotham Park for a walk around the Brooklyn Bridge Manhattan Anchorage

Learn about the advocacy and history behind the opening of New York’s newest park beneath the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan. A 3-year old advocacy effort resulted in the opening of the first acre in 2023, with a further 2 acres opening at the end of 2024. Learn about the rich history of the site including the world-famous Brooklyn Bridge, and discover a part of New York that is just starting to open up again. Details: there are stairs and uneven/narrow sidewalks, we will be walking for 1.5 hours, so wear comfortable shoes.

Not accessible for wheelchairs, strollers or bikes. RSVP for the more accessible version of this walk, scheduled for 11 AM on Sunday, May 5th!
