Greenacre Reference Library & MAS Archives

Established in 1903 and reinvigorated in 1978, MAS's library is devoted to the complex ecology of the whole of New York City. This collection covers all facets of the city’s urban culture, history, design, the natural and built environments, and the public realm.

About MAS Archives

MAS Archives collections include primary source materials and other records of enduring value that document MAS’s activities on behalf of New York City since the organization’s founding in 1893. A variety of media formats cover MAS’s innovative, wide-ranging efforts in planning, preservation, public art, and public space.

The Greenacre Reference Library Collection within the Archives holds thousands of New York City-focused news “clippings” from the local, national, and international journalistic record. The MAS Archives collections are held at 401 East 110th Street, New York, NY.
