A Garden is Where Stories Grow: Fort Tryon Park

Janes Walk

Led By Rhonda Asher

You’re invited on a springtime walk in Fort Tryon Park, a designated NYC Scenic Landscape! On our walk in this upper Manhattan park, we’ll see plants that are blooming and hear some stories they hold. After the walk, consider staying to enjoy more of the grounds, visit the nearby Cloisters museum, or dine at the restaurant in the park. Walk starts and ends at Ft. Washington Ave at Margaret Corbin Drive. Take A train to 190th, exit the station via elevator. After exiting station, go up the outdoor stairs. At street level, look for the Ft Tryon Park sign to your right. Walk leader will be at the pedestrian entrance to the park.

Accessibility

This route in Fort Tryon Park includes hills and some stairs. Walk is entirely outdoors. We will keep a slow-moderate pace to enjoy the scenery. All paths are paved. Distance is approximately one mile.
