Industrial Echoes: A Walk Through DUMBO’s Adaptive Reuse Projects

Janes Walk

Led By Ivory Wang

The walk will take place in DUMBO, Brooklyn, where cobblestone streets meet creative reinvention. We’ll explore standout examples of adaptive reuse—from the revitalized Empire Stores warehouse to the whimsical Jane’s Carousel in its glass pavilion.

Along the way, we’ll look at how historic structures have been thoughtfully reimagined to meet today’s needs. Adaptive reuse projects are especially fun to explore—they’re full of creativity, breathing new life into old bones and sparking unexpected architectural dialogue.

Please wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on cobblestones.
