Accessibility
This walk will take place outdoors in Union Square. We will cover less than half a mile walking at a relaxed pace with several stops for discussion and interaction, and there are benches nearby to sit on if people need to rest. The route is generally flat, taking place mostly on sidewalks, paved plazas, and park interiors that are accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
Union Square is a major transit hub with access to the subway, bus, CitiBike, and PATH train. Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes for walking and to bring water if needed. This walk will be held outdoors, so we advise participants to look at the weather forecast in advance and prepare accordingly. The walk will include opportunities to pause, observe, and interact with public artworks of various types and scales, so this event is suitable for participants of all ages, abilities, and levels of familiarity with art, urban planning, and architecture.
