Recording: A Feminist Walk through Harlem: Celebrating Remarkable Women

We will virtually explore both Central Harlem and Spanish Harlem, considering places where accomplished women, some famous and some not, are honored. Stops include named buildings, murals, mosaics, statues, plaques on the sidewalk, and commemorative street corners. The women whose stories I will be telling range from A’Lelia Walker to Nicholasa Mohr to Zora Neale Hurston. This is a 50-minute slide presentation w/ live commentary, followed by Q and A.
