Join Director of Collections, Kristine Allegretti and Director of Public Engagement, Kristen Bartley for a historical guided tour and photowalk through Alice Austen’s neighborhood of Rosebank, once referred to as the “Newport RI of NY.” The walk will begin at Austen’s historic landmarked home “Clear Comfort” where we’ll explore the 15-acre park on which it sits. From there we will ramble down the quaint back streets of Rosebank to Bay Street, ending at St. John’s Episcopal Church where Alice took her famous “Trude & I Masked” photograph. Participants are encouraged to bring a camera or rent a Polaroid from the museum as Kristen will be sharing tips on how to achieve best results with Polaroid photographs along the walk.
