Artie Halbran passed away in January of 2025 at the age of 97. He lived his entire life in Windsor Terrace and documented his life in a self-published autobiography he completed just before his passing. I helped him with that work. He had fond and vivid memories of his Irish immigrant grandparents who were his primary caregivers, memories of local circuses and horse driven trolleys that would take celebrities like Jimmy Durante to Coney Island. One of his best friends from growing up was Oscar Seltzer who was a character in Herman Raucher’s “Summer of 42.” Raucher went to PS 130 with Artie. My tour will utilize his autobiography and coordinate events that happened in his life with the addresses where they occurred.
