Calvary Cemetery is the largest cemetery in North America with about three million burials. It is also the place where many of New York’s most famous and infamous Irish Americans lie for eternity. Inside the cemetery is the stunning monument to NY’s “Fighting 69th” regiment and a Fenian monument too. A virtual walk through the graveyard is like a short course in NY Irish history.
