Ethnic History Through Food Tour Astoria

Janes Walk

Led By Eirene Archolekas, Atelier Eirene

Astoria is a diverse multicultural neighbourhood with eateries that provide delicious yet reasonable food options. On this tour we get an on the ground lesson of Astoria’s ethnic history by visiting landmark eateries and tasting traditional dishes representative of its cultural makeup. Waves of immigrants have left their mark in this neighbourhood including the first Hookah bar, rabbit stew from the Phoenicians, the most authentic Greek souvlaki, the best hummus, etc. Expect to walk 1 mile and a quarter. We make many eating stops to go over history and try food. Good walking shoes and spending cash.

This walk is sold out and the waitlist is full.
