Join us to explore history in action – we are a grassroots effort unlocking the Manhattan Anchorage of the Brooklyn Bridge one acre at a time. Have you ever wondered how an infrastructural burden affects the neighborhood it occupies, and how surrounding communities can turn that burden into opportunity? Join us to learn about our adventures in history-mining, fun facts about the neighborhood and the Brooklyn Bridge, and how a band of determined community advocates are working with agency and City officials to unlock this iconic area beneath the shadow of one of our most beloved structures in the heart of Manhattan. And for skaters – yes, this includes the Brooklyn Banks!
Accessibility
Accessibility is a bit difficult with wheelchairs, but it is doable. There are many subways in the area, so getting to the meeting point outside of city hall is very easy.
