Greenwich Village: New York’s Hollywood

Greenwich Village: New York’s Hollywood is a tour through famous film and TV sets located in the Village. Stops include Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment, the building from Friends, and more. Attendees should wear comfortable shoes, and bring along a camera to commemorate their visit to these recognizable locations. By partaking in this tour attendees will learn more about how Greenwich Village has been represented on screen, and will be able to explore the iconic neighborhood for themselves.

Accessibility

The route is approximately 1.2 miles long. The route can be followed via sidewalks in the neighborhood and avoids steps so it is wheelchair accessible. While the route is fairly long, there are several public plazas attendees can pause at: Ruth Wittenberg Triangle, Washington Square Park, & Astor Plaza. In regards to public transit, the 1 train is only a few blocks away from the first stop. For participants interested in using public transport during the tour the M8 bus runs across town and is in walking distance to all stops.
