For this in-person tour, we’ll explore how 1960s theories of community development and urban design transformed a section of Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Beginning at Brower Park, the tour will visit the I. M. Pei and M. Paul Friedberg-designed superblocks that re-envisioned the traditional streetscape of brownstone Brooklyn when they were commissioned by the nascent Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation.
