Mansions and Monuments of Riverside Drive, from Joan of Arc to Ulysses S. Grant

Janes Walk

Led By Ed Strauss

Starting with a French warrior/patriot/saint, ending with a general/president/memoirist, plus architects, Titanic passengers, terrorists, firemen and freedom fighters, also-ran politicos, mistresses and models, these colorful characters frequented Manhattan’s fabled Riverside Drive. Come meet them, and more, in this in-person group walk. Bonus: we’ll visit a nearly forgotten battlefield where independence was tested and stood firm.

The Joan of Arc Memorial is conserved and maintained by MAS’s Adopt-A-Monument Program.

Fully accessible, we can bypass some staircases.
