Memorializing the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire (In-Person)

Janes Walk

Led By Andi Sosin AND Joel Sosinsky, Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition

Jane’s Walk 2023 will be both in-person and virtual on Zoom. Today the site of the “fire that changed America’” is in the process of having the Memorial mounted on its exterior.

On Friday May 5 at 3 pm the Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition will host a zoom meeting to acquaint Jane’s Walkers with the upcoming Memorial and to highlight the reasons why the Triangle fire must be remembered.

On Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7 at 3 pm Jane’s Walk leaders Andi Sosin and Joel Sosinsky will meet Jane’s Walkers at the corner of Washington Place and Greene Street in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. NYU’s Brown Building is the site of the Triangle Fire, under scaffolding. Find us on a corner of the intersection with our MAS fan!

On May 6 Saturday and May 7 Sunday at 3 pm will offer personal interactions with knowledgeable docents at the Brown Building, site of the 1911 Triangle fire with recommendations for other stops on Jane's Walk, if desired.
