Step into Prospect Park with an experienced ethnobotanist for an immersive walking tour exploring the park’s rich native plant life. With Rooting Together, participants will learn to identify a diverse range of species growing all around us while gaining insight into how regional Indigenous cultures have cultivated and used these plants for food, medicine, tools, and ceremony. Blending ecology, subsistence practices, history, and cultural knowledge, this guided experience offers a deeper understanding of the land beneath our feet and the enduring relationships between people and plants. Ideal for nature lovers, educators, and anyone curious about Indigenous knowledge systems and urban ecology.
