“Oh, Child”: Young Bill Cunningham in Manhattan

Janes Walk

Led By Chrisinda Lynch AND Daniel Pecoraro

Before he was a photographer for The New York Times, Bill Cunningham was having some New York times! This walk will highlight notable locations from his early years and fashion career in the city in a largely lost era of Midtown Manhattan.

Accessibility
Tour is approximately two hours winding around midtown Manhattan and begins on 60th Street and 5th Avenue (off the 5th Avenue-59th Street (N/R/W) station and not far from the Lexington Avenue-59th (6/N/R/W), Lexington Avenue-63rd Street (F/Q), and 7th Avenue-53rd Street (B/D/E) stations. The tour start is also accessible via the M1/M2/M3/M4. There's also a Citibike dock available in front of the Plaza Hotel. Daniel would prefer that, in addition to following MAS policies, that they follow his tour policies (including staying fully masked throughout the tour and bringing proof of vaccination), but understands if that is not possible.
Location Information

RSVP is required and capacity is limited. Meeting location, ending location, and directions will be provided via email before walk date.
