This would be a 60 minute historical walking tour that touches on the architecture of Prospect Lefferts Garden. Participants will want to bring comfortable walking shoes and water.
The walk will start at the Lefferts Historic House located in Prospect Park, where we’ll discuss the history of the house. As we walk down Flatbush, we’ll note the nearby former stadium of the Brooklyn Dodgers and the General Bakery Company building, including the remaining clock tower.
From then, I’ll continue down Flatbush to the corner of Maple, the original location of the Lefferts House. After viewing archival photos, the tour will proceed to Bedford and then on to Grace Reformed Church, the historic row houses, and the Firehouse on Rogers. Considering how the area changed, we’ll then head down Rutland Rd. to Flatbush and end at Flatbush Bagels.

The starting point is accessible via the B/Q/Franklin Shuttle at the Prospect Park station. There are several nearby CitiBike stations at the start and end of the route.
