Buildings have life cycles that are part of a larger community life cycle. And Buildings, like the people they serve, require reinvestment and care to survive and evolve. Whether adaptive reuse gives new life to an abandoned structure or a new function to it based on economic and social changes, what is important is that the built fabric of the past continues to exist as a space where the life of the community can continue to unfold for many years to come.
