Scrub off the City: Forest Bathing in Brooklyn Bridge Park

Janes Walk

SOLD OUT, WAITLIST OPEN

Led By Carinn Candelaria, Owner, Little Apple Experiences

When was your deepest breath of the day? Was it when you first woke up? When you first stepped outside? Maybe your deepest breath was at the office. This weekend, find your deepest breath in Brooklyn Bridge Park with licensed guide and waterfront historian, Carinn Candelaria. This 90-minute meditative cleanse follows the tradition of shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing. Designed to diminish the stress city life exacerbates, shinrin-yoku encourages mindfulness techniques within a natural environment. Bathers are invited to shed anxieties, troubles, and more using exercises designed to cleanse the inner self within a cluttered city landscape.
