The Longest Short Walk in Brooklyn

Janes Walk

Led By Priyadarshini Chaplot

Join this BLOCK WALK, a slow stroll across a single and singular block in Brooklyn: Eastern Parkway between Washington Avenue and Grand Army Plaza!

In less than a third of a mile, attendees will move through (1) iconic cultural institutions such as the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Mount Prospect, and the Central branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, all while relishing (2) ordinary delights that only slow and close looking—especially looking together—can reveal.

Accessibility

This guided group walk is about 1/3 of a mile long and primarily on a city sidewalk, which may be uneven at times. We may climb a gentle hill to Mount Prospect and descend via stairs, but there is an alternate path that is wheelchair-accessible. The walk's starting point is located near public transportation along with a CitiBike station.

Location Information

RSVP is required and capacity is limited. Meeting location, ending location, and directions will be provided via email before walk date.
