Theatre District Historical Tour

Janes Walk

Led By Tim Dolan AND D'Arcy Sampson, Owner, Broadway Up Close / Times Square Alliance

The Theatre District is home to many beloved Broadway theaters, all of which have witnessed the transformation of Times Square from Old New York to one of the world’s most popular and iconic destinations. Join Broadway Up Close owner Tim Dolan for a walking tour through Times Square as we learn about Broadway’s beginnings and the theatrical titans who shaped the Theatre District. Hear rarely-told stories from famous shows, and walk away with a new appreciation for just how far Broadway has come over the past 100 years.

This walking tour is fully accessible. Attendees can expect a half-mile length, with no stairs or obstructions, and more standing than walking. This tour is centrally located in Times Square with plenty of nearby transit access.
