Time Travel in Central Park

Janes Walk

Led By Jack Intrator

From the golden age of Ancient Egypt through the Middle Ages and the Elizabethan Era in England to 19th century New York City and the creation of Central Park, travel this span of time on a short-distance walk in Central Park. Stops include Cleopatra’s Needle, King Jagiello monument, Delacorte Theater, Shakespeare Garden and Belvedere Castle. In addition to seeing how these symbols of world eras tie into the history of NYC, Jack promises some timeless stories, both old and new. While not stretching back as far in history, Jack’s love affair with Central Park began over sixty years ago, and he has volunteered with the Central Park Conservancy for the last 11 years.
