Witness II Downtown Rising: A Studio Visit with Todd Stone and Silverstein Properties

As we mark 25 years since the attacks on September 11, 2001, join us for a rare look at the studio of artist Todd Stone in 3 WTC, typically not open to the public, and his show Witness II Downtown Rising. Stone, a longtime artist-in-residence at the World Trade Center, has created a painted timeline over the past two decades that examines both the destruction of the World Trade Center and the ongoing resilience, recovery, and rebound of Lower Manhattan.

Following Stone’s tour, guests will be invited to view the private history and memorabilia collection curated by Silverstein Properties featuring scale models, construction ephemera, archival photos, and pop culture props detailing the two-decade rebuilding of the World Trade Center site. A light reception will follow courtesy of Silverstein Properties.

This will be a rare opportunity to see the Silverstein collection and to view Stone’s work contextualized in the architectural setting that has deeply informed his practice. Stone’s work has been exhibited at the 9/11 Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, the Bronx River Art Center, and the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA.
