Walk into the Future of NYC: Explore Upcoming Developments On-Site in Augmented Reality

Janes Walk

Led By Dana Chermesh AND Ziv Schneider, inCitu

inCitu democratizes the process of urban development by incentivizing community participation through immersive experiences. Our Augmented-Reality-powered civic engagement tool takes proposals out of City Hall and onto their urban context, letting anyone see any project proposed to their neighborhood on-site in AR, and provides insights into the impact of a project on them and their neighbors. Most importantly, we let them join in the planning of change.

As Jane Jacobs said: “Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because and only when, they are created by everybody”

inCitu is an NYC-based, social impact venture-backed startup that is incubated in Schmidt Futures, Wendy and Eric Schmidt’s Venture Facility for Public Benefit.
