Wall Street (FIDI) and 9/11

Janes Walk

SOLD OUT, WAITLIST OPEN

Led By Ed Perlmutter

I worked in the financial industry for nearly 40 years, most of it in the financial district in the Wall Street area. I also witnessed most of the events as they transpired on 9/11/2001, most of it from a very close range. I have led versions of this walk before for Jane’s Walk and Big Apple Greeter, starting by Battery Park and working my way up to the World Trade Center / City Hall area. I cover the history of many of the sites and buildings along the way, plus my own personal experiences on September 11. The walk will last closer to 2.5 hours.

Accessibility

All flat. Probably about 1 to 1.5 miles walking. 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green or R or W train to Whitehall Street (exit north end).

Location Information

RSVP is required and capacity is limited. Meeting location, ending location, and directions will be provided via email before walk date.
