Richard Morris Hunt Patron Program

RMH Patrons provide critical support to MAS

2006 - present

The Richard Morris Hunt Patron Program is named for the co-founder and inaugural president of MAS. An esteemed architect, Richard Morris Hunt was the first American to be admitted to the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He helped shape New York City’s built environment with designs for the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty, the façade and Great Hall of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the New York Tribune Building. Hunt also designed the Vanderbilt Mausoleum on Staten Island and the Biltmore Estate, also for the Vanderbilts, in North Carolina.

Richard Morris Hunt Patrons provide critical support to MAS. As an RMH Patron, your contribution will ensure that MAS continues to share the inspirational histories of New York City’s public realm while advocating for equitable and innovative development now and in the future. In appreciation for this generous support, you will enjoy several benefits including invitations to behind-the-scenes tours of New York’s iconic spaces; intimate cocktail receptions with artists, authors, and other creatives; and other special events throughout the year.
