A Stereopticon 3-D Time Machine of the Madison Square & Flatiron Districts

Janes Walk

Led By Gerald Marks

Join artist Gerald Marks for an exploration of the Madison Square area through 3-D images and a walk! This will begin in Gerald’s 26th Street loft studio where there will be a 3-D slideshow presentation featuring the Madison Square area, including the Worth Monument, the Cathedral of St. Sava, and the Flatiron Building. 3-D glasses will be provided for all the walkers. The images will represent a wide range of time, starting around 1860 with many from the 1890’s and the turn of the 20th Century; and then Gerald’s digital 3-D photography of the same locations.

For the second part, all will walk together to the actual locations where the photos were taken. Very fortunately, many of the precise Madison Square area camera locations are now comfortable and safe areas to stand and talk!

Because of limited capacity in the studio, this walk is capped at 30 participants.
