Join us on a virtual tour of one of the world’s most storied neighborhoods from the comfort of your own home! We’ll take a walk through Seward Park (the United States’ first municipal park) and its neighborhood library, talk about the statue of Boss Tweed that never was, the fountain the neighborhood drank from (and sometimes bathed in), the school that replaced a prison, and the transition from pushcarts to covered markets – a radius of just a few blocks teaming with stories.
The tour will include images from NYPL Digital Collections and more!
Tour will be taking place via Zoom.
