Canceled: A Warhol Stroll

Andy Warhol and the Upper East Side

With Matt Postal

Please note — In response to concerns about coronavirus, the Municipal Art Society has made the difficult decision to cancel this tour.

This walking tour focuses on the Upper East Side, where Andy Warhol always lived in Manhattan, often worked, and frequently exhibited. Led by art historian Matt Postal, we’ll visit numerous sites that were important in this celebrated pop artist’s career, including the modest 19th century firehouse that served as his first studio, the 1901 townhouse where his first solo exhibition was held in 1962, as well as both of his residences.
