Brooklyn is known as the borough of churches, but it was once called the city of baseball clubs. In Brooklyn, organized baseball exploded in the 1850s, and arguably spread from there across the nation in the form we know today. This virtual walk will tour several old Brooklyn neighborhoods and their baseball connections with clubs like the Eckfords, the Tip Tops, and the mighty Atlantics.
