[Virtual tour] The fine architecture and general history of the Crown Heights North neighborhood have been celebrated in our walking and virtual tours. But buildings and neighborhoods are nothing without the stories of those who called the neighborhood home. Murray and Perry came from very different worlds, one was the child of poor Irish immigrants, the other a man who had liberated himself to escape Southern slavery. Although they probably never met, they lived only blocks, yet worlds away from each other. Both made their special mark on the city. Their children would grow to surpass their fathers. Join Suzanne Spellen for this introduction to two people you may never have heard of, but should know.
For all tours, there are no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges unless we cancel a tour. Online registration closes one hour prior to the tour start time.
