City Island

Once part of Westchester County, City Island in the Bronx has a rich history that includes oystering, farming, shipbuilding, sail making, designing America’s Cup winners, and much more. Stops include the City Island Nautical Museum, several landmarked buildings, a shady public park and soldiers’ memorial, and beautiful shoreline views of Long Island Sound. Plan on spending the whole day – do some shopping and enjoy a late lunch or early dinner. Arrive early to spend extra time in the Nautical Museum.
