Death Walk

Janes Walk

Led By Morgan Oxley AND Amber

Join us at the Uptown Manhattan Trinity Cemetery and Mausoleum for a brief meditation on death.

On this 1-hour silent tour, we’ll enter the city of dead, wandering through the stacks and stately mausoleums of the eastern cemetery, arriving at a place where you’ll be invited to make contact with the ground.

Then, during the only spoken part of the tour, we’ll deliver a brief meditation on transience.

After that, silently, we’ll emerge from the cemetery and walk briefly through the city, arriving at the end of our journey, where, for those who want, we’ll do a little decompression session where you can share your experience, ask questions, or just listen to others talk about their own relationship with death.

Accessibility

Accessibility is limited. The area is hilly, the cemetery steps are uneven, and we'll be traveling on little-used trails within the cemetery.

Location Information

RSVP is required and capacity is limited. Meeting location, ending location, and directions will be provided via email before walk date.
