Accessibility
Walk will be about 4,000 steps on mostly level ground and mostly wide sidewalks. The Third Street walk to the Old Stone House and Washington Park will be uphill. Route will be accessible to wheelchairs, however, the Union Street subway stop is not an accessible station. It is one stop south of the Atlantic station, where one could access Fifth or Third Avenue buses to President St. CitiBike stations are near the walk's start, at Union and President Streets and 4th Avenue. At the walks' end, there are Citibike stations at 4th and 5th Avenue at Third St. Leader will return attendees to the Union Street stop or provide directions to other subway stops. The park will offer places for those interested in discussing the redevelopment ideas.
