Green, Clean, and Connected: Open Streets in North Brooklyn

Janes Walk

Led By Lynn del Sol, North Brooklyn Parks Alliance

Cities all over the world are looking at public space. How can it be better used, be made more equitable, and become more green, clean, and connected. New York City has been experimenting with an arsenal of design types to calm and democratize the streetscape. One, in particular, emerged post-pandemic called “Open Streets.” North Brooklyn had seven such streets at the height of the pandemic. Join us for a virtual Jane’s Walk as we check in with speakers from some of the most popular corridors.
