Explore the unexpected public green space in Jackson Heights! Starting at Diversity Plaza, see how a former street has been converted into a cherished town square with thriving plants for neighborhood residents to enjoy. We’ll then walk down 73rd St to 34th Ave and begin to explore NYC’s longest Open Street. Stretching from 69th to Junction Boulevard on 34th Avenue, this thoroughfare has been transformed into an active linear stretch of green space which connects a vibrant community. We will explore the nearly 200 planters, 6 public plazas and expanded pedestrian uses that have made this open street a thriving green oasis.

Accessible via public transportation, walk will be along open street/sidewalks
