The Heart of Crown Heights

With Suzanne Spellen

[In-person] Every neighborhood has at least one street that defines it. Central Brooklyn’s neighborhoods grew organically over the centuries, often combining the best of residential, commercial and industrial architecture. Crown Heights has several of these streets, but we’ve picked just one – chock full of great architecture and history, and a fine cast of characters who shaped the area, and Brooklyn. Join architectural historian Suzanne Spellen for this tour of a neighborhood, as distilled through walking down one street in Crown Heights North.

MAS in-person tours last approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours and are held outdoors, therefore no masks are required. If you prefer to wear a mask, though, we want you to feel comfortable doing so. Meeting location is provided with registration. With rare exceptions, MAS in-person tours take place rain or shine.

For all tours, there are no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges unless we cancel a tour. Online registration closes one hour prior to the tour start time.
