Hunts Point: Public Art and Environmental Justice – After School Activate

Janes Walk

Led By Hatuey Ramos-Fermin AND Victor Davila, Artist in Residence at THE POINT

After School Activate: 4-6pm
Join THE POINT, artists, youth, and local leaders in this walking tour and art-making workshop that explores the history of public art and environmental justice in Hunts Point of the South Bronx. The walk culminates in a poster/banner-making workshop for the upcoming cultural and climate justice event, the Fish Parade, with Hatuey, artist in residence and visiting printmaker, Tammy Wofsey and Plotzing Press. She brings Print Day in May to the table, yet another international celebration to Jane’s table on her birthday.

Accessibility

This walk is about a mile long and about 1 hour. There are some hills involved and part of the pathway is a rough industrial landscape. We end up at THE POINT Campus for the Arts and Environment for art workshops, child friendly.

Location Information

RSVP is required and capacity is limited. Meeting location, ending location, and directions will be provided via email before walk date.
