Manhattan’s Other Grand Boulevard: The Wonders of Riverside Drive

Janes Walk

Led By Cris Gleicher

Take a walk along Riverside Drive, beginning at 97th Street, and discover some hidden wonders along the way. Sauntering along the drive we will discover monuments honoring some of NYC’s bravest, revolutionaries and public servants, as well as explore dwellings that housed artists, millionaires, mistresses, and mystics. Detours will expose a small park dedicated to those lost on the Titanic, an artist’s museum committed to peace among nations, and a hidden grave site.

Accessibility
The walk takes place mainly on the local route of Riverside Drive. There is one section where we walk up stairs to a monument, but this can be made accessible to all by going an alternate route. Public transportation is available on Broadway with the 1,2,3 subway line, as well as the Broadway buses.
Location Information

RSVP is required and capacity is limited. Meeting location, ending location, and directions will be provided via email before walk date.
