2021 Winner for Best New Building

Registration for this event is now full. Check out other MASterworks programs that you can attend at mas.org/events.

This fall, as a part of Archtober and NYCxDESIGN, MAS is celebrating design excellence in New York City with our 2021 MASterworks Awards! We have curated a selection of in person explorations and online in-conversations with this year’s honored projects.

On Monday, November 15, 6:00-8:00 PM, join MAS for a visit to Amant, 2021 MASterwork winner for Best New Building. Hear from Lonti Ebers (Founder & C.E.O., Amant Foundation) and architect Florian Idenburg, RA, AIA-IA (Principal, SO–IL), about the design for this oasis for artists and general public that offers wonder and discovery in the center of Brooklyn. Embedded within the subtle utility of its materials, the architecture embodies the ethos of Amant: providing space for showing, broadcasting, and making art public, while offering another place for reflecting, meeting, and creating community.

The program will begin with remarks in Géza, located at 306 Maujer Street, Amant’s lab oriented to art-making and collective discussion, followed by a drinks reception in the artist residency building and an invitation to explore and mingle in the galleries, courtyards, and bookstore, located at 315 Maujer Street and 932 Grand Street.

This event is free with RSVP.
