With With Lydia Bradshaw, MTA Arts & Design, and Artists Roy Secord and Rico Gatson

Join MTA Arts & Design for a guided tour of public artworks located at three Bronx subway stations. We’ll visit the iconic “Wall-Slide” by Vito Acconci and “Room of Tranquility” by Helene Brandt at 161 Street-Yankee Stadium station; the colorful and geometric “Bronx Seasons Everchanging” by Roy Secord at 174-175 Sts station; and “Beacons” by Rico Gatson at 167 St station. Hear first-hand from MTA Arts & Design regarding the process of commissioning artists who create site-specific artworks for the public and from the artists about their experiences and inspirations.
